Loralie McGill

Born in 1963 in Amsterdam, NY, Loralie McGill began her theater career in 1979
as a singer/songwriter/performer. One of her first performances was a lead roll in
original play "Carla", performed for the American College Theatre Festival in Kansas City, KS.
Her talents and improvisation skills in stage production were enhanced by other 'On the Road'
performances as a song writer and singer throughout the USA.  She moved to San Diego with
an extensive background in the theatre, having participated in a number of productions,
both on the road and in theatre. Arriving in San Diego in 1982, she worked with
Lorelei's Singing Telegrams, San Diego, CA, as a Singer, Performer, and Costume Designer.
She successfully wrote a video script for Keith Green's "The Prodigal Son," 1984,
and then moved on to produce fashion shows for Neil West Productions, San Diego, CA
and De La Siren Productions San Diego, CA.  In 1991she worked as a professional clown
with a children's entertainment company Nugget's Window, San Diego, CA. She also served
as a director and production manager for Nugget's Window productions.
She has written a succession of stage shows, including, 'The Boots & Riley TV Show,
1992; several shows for the Del Mar Fair. San Diego, CA, 1993; and a video script hearing
impaired children in sign language entitled "All Beyond Castle Dark," that was registered with
Writers Guild of America, west, Inc, 1995. She was also a salaried entertainer at the Del Mar Fair,
Carlsbad, CA.  The North Coast Repertory Theater offered Loralie a position as their stage manager
for "I hate Hamlet" 1994 and costume designer for "Shadowlands," 1995. I Hate Hamlet and
Shadowlands were performed at the North Coast Repertory Theatre, San Diego, CA.

Loralie owned and operated PaperAnimals.com 1997-2005, where she perfected her Paper Mache art and has written a children's book called "Winkie and The Sunflower". She founded Classic Youth Theater, Inc in 2005, in Carlsbad California, where she serves as CEO and Production Director. Her first production, 'A Street Car Named Desire' was performed in March of 2004. She has produced and directed Harvey, Cyrano de Bergerac, Arsenic And Old Lace, Holiday Variety Shows year one and two, You Can't Take It With You, Midsummer Night's Dream, Blithe Spirit, The Odd Couple (the female version) Barefoot In The Park and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Ms McGill is currently employed at Eagles Peak Charter School in Vista as a drama teacher and also teaches a set/costume design class. She has 5 children. The two oldest are married with children of their own, a son in college and two little ones at home. She has spent the last 25 years of her life dedicated to their well being and education.

Assistant Executive DirectorEmelie Rota
Emelie Rota

Emelie Rota brings her passion for theatre and fine arts to Classic Youth Theatre. Born in the Bay Area, Emelie has lived in many towns across California, and spent a brief time living in London, England. Growing up, Emelie was extremely active in Theater and Dramatic Arts. When she became lost among her peers in middle school, she turned to acting to find her place. Participating in theater gave her confidence and desire to succeed.

Emelie graduated with honors from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo in 2003, with a degree in Graphic Communications. After several years working in the Bay Area in Print and Publishing sales, Emelie moved to Leucadia in 2005 and began working in the Real Estate industry. She moved from marketing into business development, helping Real Estate investors learn about how to build wealth through tax-deferred exchange. With an independent spirit, Emelie decided to venture out on her own as a real estate consultant.

Emelie's role with Classic Youth Theatre is Assistant Executive Director. With the help of Director Loralie, she helps develop/implement programs and assists with day to day operations. With her community connections, she will help forge relationships and partnerships to further Classic Youth Theatre's development.

Community Outreach and Sales Director
Rachel Kupin

Rachel Kupin brings multi-faceted skills to Classic Youth Theatre. Born in Anchorage, AK, Rachel has lived all over the Pacific Northwest where she was extremely active in Theater and Dramatic Arts. At age nineteen, Rachel left the USA to travel and settle in Europe, where she subsequently studied Liberal Arts, performed in a number of theatrical productions, worked as Financial and Human Resource Manager, and started a family. Rachel returned to Carlsbad in late 2000, establishing a career as tax professional. After attending graduate school in Tax and Financial Planning at SDSU, Rachel's entrepreneurial spirit took over and she launched her own tax and small business consulting practice, Easy Life Management. Rachel brings vision, as well as a multitude of diverse business, networking and artistic talents to Classic Youth Theatre. She will head up a team of volunteers who will build a dynamic network to communicate Classic Youth Theatre's vision and mission to Carlsbad's businesses, schools, and families in order to encourage collaboration. Rachel's eleven year old daughter, Julia, worked with Director Loralie on the 2007 production of Frankenstein.

Jennifer Davis

Jennifer Davis comes to us with 18 years of business experience along with professional child centered experience. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York Jennifer traded in a life of extreme weather and face paced living for the relaxed community and beautiful year round weather of the beach community of San Diego, North County. Jennifer operated a child-care/preschool center for five years. Later she joined her husband and they began and operated a Medical Distribution Business where they sold orthopedic implants to all the major hospitals within
San Diego County.

Board Member
Susan Sullivan                                                                                                                                           
 
With over 25 years experience in Marketing & Event Production, Susan has been on                          
several non-profit educational & theatrical boards. She was founder and executive
director of C.A.S.T.L.E. Productions (Cultural Art Study through Living-History Enactment)
that most recently held the Del Mar Renaissance Festival at the Fairgrounds, as well as the
Student Day portion of the production bringing in over 5,000 San Diego elementary students

A former elected official and president of the Carlsbad Water District, Sullivan also represented
the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau marketing the North County hotels and attractions
to corporate and leisure travelers. She was also publisher and editor of North County Magazine
and is currently a Realtor with Prudential California  while raising two teenagers that attend
Carlsbad High School.
